PCMS Port Services
PCMS maintained a high level of marine operational support throughout January and February, providing a range of port services, vessel mooring operations, and coordinated tie-up and let-go evolutions across multiple terminals.
Despite the difficult weather conditions, operations were conducted safely with close coordination between Portsmouth Pilots, and terminal operators.
Port Services Rendered. PCMS provided port service support to the following vessels:
- Fermita, a Norwegian international bulk carrier.
- Turicum, coming out of Garrucha, Spain, unloaded gypsum at Sprague’s River Road Terminal.
- Asteras, a dry bulk ship sailing under the flag of the Marshall Islands, at Sprague’s Portland Terminal.
Services included arrival coordination, terminal interface support, and crane operations.
Mooring Operations (Tie Ups / Let Go’s) PCMS marine crews executed multiple mooring and unmooring evolutions, including:
- Port Tokyo, salt ship tie-up at the New Hampshire State Pier.
- Asian Prominence, sailing from Singapore.
- Nord Logos, a general cargo ship sailing under the flag of Panama.
- Scot Leipzig, an Oil/Chemical Tanker hailing from Malta.
- Global Sentinel, cable layer, departed from Subcom.
The volume and variety of vessel movements during January and February reflect PCMS’s role in supporting diverse maritime activities, including bulk cargo handling, fuel transfer operations, and subsea cable-related support vessels.
