PCMS Assists the Global Sentinel

Back to News

Last week, the Pepperrell Cove Marine Services (PCMS) team had the privilege of assisting the Global Sentinel, a cable-laying vessel operated by SubCom, as she prepared to depart on her next assignment.

Our crew handled the line work and safe let go from the dock, ensuring a smooth and secure departure. The Global Sentinel is a familiar and impressive vessel in the subsea industry, designed specifically for laying and maintaining undersea communication cables, the very backbone of global internet connectivity.

Watching her ease away from the pier and set course for her next port is always a reminder of the important work happening just below the ocean’s surface. Every departure represents a step toward connecting continents, enabling commerce, and supporting communication networks that the world depends on daily.

For PCMS, these moments are part of what we do best, providing trusted marine services that keep vessels moving safely and efficiently. Whether it’s handling dockings and departures, supporting subsea operations, or delivering specialized marine solutions, our mission remains the same: to serve the crews and ships that keep our industry moving forward.

Fair winds and following seas to the Global Sentinel and her crew.
